Cold

I’m very cold right now……haha

Work is done for the week……I am sad!!! haha…I absolutely ADORE my new job! I never thought I’d love interacting with little children/babies this much. I always felt like a failure of a woman because I never was too into kids and babies and all that jazz…I’ve always been somewhat indifferent when it came to babies. I’m like “yeah..they’re cute..but I don’t see what the big deal is” Not that I don’t like children. I love them! I’ve just never been overly gushy about them. I see them as little people. BUT! I’ve loved working with those tiny little humans!! I like working with the adults who come in, too….but the kids are just so funny. I love my co-workers – we all get along VERY well…I love the entire atmosphere of the job..I love that it’s not with food..I love that I’m on my feet most of the day (if not all). I love getting to capture memories….I love the area I work in..I love the surroundings.

Golly gosh almighty. Best choice I’ve ever made I think ;P

But then again..it’s the first week…everything’s always so glamorous when it’s new haha :P

Anywho!

I’ve been eating 100% healthy the past couple days…although I haven’t been eating enough (I haven’t been hungry again…so confused) everything I DO eat is mostly raw fruits and veggies and just a small portion of meat at dinner. 

I feel great..I’m happy..I’m hopeful..I feel like I’m moving forward..I’m interacting with people.

Yep yep yep. I’m motivated…but at the same time I’m not obsessing about my weight because I’ve got other awesome things going on in my life!

club feet

My feet feel like clubs on the bottom of my legs….ouch haha. I’ve been on them all day in high heels/boots (because those are the only black shoes I own)

But at least I had an AWESOME DAY! Man o’ man! I love this job!!! I love the little families coming in..I love the little babies…I love the atmosphere. All of it.

Tonight I had a biggg salad with grilled chicken and bleu cheese dressing. It was excellent. 

I haven’t eaten a lot today..I’m not really hungry. I had an orange for breakfast, some of my carrot soup for lunch, and then that salad. I wish I could eat more often…but right now I’m actually not really feeling any adverse feelings with having to cut down to 3 meals a day right now. I CAN pack some snacks eventually..but I’m just trying hard to get into the swing of things at work before I do all that..plus I’m not overly hungry anyway.

I’m not sure if the pedometer was counting correctly…but it read that I walked 5,815 more steps…but for 10 hours I think I did more than that haha….I tried walking around and counting a few steps and checking..and it didn’t count them at times..but I like to under estimate things anyway so that I over achieve :P That puts me around 9k…not too bad. Gonna go for more tomorrow haha. 

Anyway..it’s late…I am majorly pooped…I’m going to sleep.

Yesterday

Yesterday was awesome :D . I love the new job thus far! It will have it’s difficulties just like any other job will. But I love not having to work with food all day haha. I love getting to see the different people that come in..I love photography…and it will help me get out of my comfort zone with people for sure. 

Today I work 9.5 hours so it’s gonna be a looooooong day haha. I work the same amount tomorrow. That puts me at 24 hours a week simply working 3 days! I will have the rest of the week off to work on my graphics and other things. This is awesome :) . I love this set up.

I’m borrowing my brother’s ipod nano to track my steps today to see how much I will walk at my job. We went for a walk this morning for about 25 minutes and I walked 3,258 steps thus far. So we’ll see how many I can add to that ;) . I’m gonna try and get past the 10,000 mark (preferably 12,000)…so during my lunch break I’m going to go for a walk..gosh I’m so excited! I’m actually able to WALK during my break instead of having to sit somewhere or drive somewhere! 

Also….my soup I made yesterday…….was absolutely excellent cold. I was VERY surprised. I mean I never really care if soup is hot or cold…but sometimes when it’s not hot – it’s just not the same. But this soup was awesome both ways. So I’m totally going to bring some for lunch :) . I need to find a way to get more water into my day, though…I definitely didn’t have enough yesterday :(

Oh my……

The soup…IS AMAZING!!!!

Instead of adding any dairy (yogurt) I kept it vegan and instead added coconut milk!! OH MY GOSH that added a new dimension to it! It tastes like fall in soup form :P ..not to mention it’s the prettiest color. I’m so going to enjoy this stuff for the next few days…as well as research more awesomeness to make more soups. I’m excited :P . I’ve got vegan lunch and breakfast options and then dinner will most likely be my chicken and salad as I stated before (because I feel the need for protein at this point and time..but I don’t want to overdo it). I’ve got miso soup for an afternoon snack..I’ve got to figure out a few more snack options that will hold me over. 

Sweet potatoes are good…but I don’t want too much starch….hummmm..I will check out what’s available at the store produce wise and decide from there. I don’t have a billion dollars for food…so I’ve gotta be smart as well as healthy. 

Anyway I have to go get ready for work

Making soup this morning :)

It smells SOOO good!

It was super easy…and so far it seems to taste really good :D

I sauteed a small onion in some coconut oil (maybe 1/2 tbs), chopped up about 4 large carrots (organic w00t), added the sauteed onion and carrots to water with a little cube of vegan/gluten free beef bullion (msg free :P ), added some cinnamon and ginger powder…as well as a little more onion powder (I love onions) and garlic powder. I’m letting all of that simmer and cook until the carrots are soft..then I shall blend them all together…then add in some plain non-fat greek yogurt to add a creaminess and some protein. Unless I taste it and it tastes perfectly fine/filling without it. We’ll see :P

I’m excited…I love making healthy tasty food! Also I’m making enough to last me the next few days for lunches. I’m also packing my miso to make some miso soup for snacks. 

I’ll let you know how the soup turns out :D
